The New And Highly Effective
Way To Treat Skin Cancer
Thanks to Skinworx there's a new non-surgical treatment option for
non-melanoma skin cancers and certain types of precancerous lesions. Medically
these lesions are known as basal cell carcinomas and actinic keratoses (or solar
keratosis). Your doctor might refer to them as BCCs or simply 'lesions'. This new
photodynamic treatment, or PDT, is not just effective, it is also less likely to cause scarring,
providing excellent cosmetic results.

The lesion is prepared, and a light sensitizing cream is applied to the lesion. Then the lesion is exposed to a special red light. The ingredient in the cream is activated and destroys abnormal cells that cause BCCs and AKs, while leaving healthy skin unharmed. Two such illuminations are required one week apart to complete the treatment and more than one lesion at a time can be treated.
No doubt this is one of the reasons why studies in Australia and overseas have found it to be the treatment option that people prefer. |
